While easy operation is important, the safety of an automatic door system is even more so. Contactless opto sensors are easy to install and ensure safety in the garage door's area of movement. If the garage does not have a second entrance, emergency unlocking allows you to open the garage door from outside in case of a power cut.

With the Novomatic 553 700N belt drive operator, you can perfectly complement your Novoferm doors, whether they’re sectional or of the up-and-over variety. Clients will benefit from built-in energy saving functions that will be incredibly useful.

This is a convenient easy-to-use quick running operator designed for single and double garage doors with a maximum surface area up to 14 square metres. The maximum opening speed is 22 centimetres per second while the maximum closing speed is 17 centimetres per second.

We have a range of two-channel or four-channel hand transmitters available, depending on your exact requirements. One of our hand transmitters even clips onto your sun visor!

With our wireless numbered keypads, access will only be allowed on the correct input of a previously programmed four digit PIN number. The number pad glows in the dark for maximum convenience.

When all else fails and there’s been a power cut, you can still get manual access to your garage with one of our handy emergency unlocking kits.

When you combine our solar panels with our battery backup packs, then they can provide continuous automation for your garage without the need for mains electricity.

Our key switch is an alternative option to the numbered keypad that can be flush or surface mounted.

Simply having your operator in standby mode which is necessary for remote-control operation consumes just 0.5 W of energy. And those LED lamps won’t be pushing up the bills any time soon but still offer fantastic illumination.

Plus, if your customer opts for a compatible Novoferm door, they can even control the door using our “smartGarage” mobility app.  

Unbeatable Safety and Security 

Our operators offer the benefit of self-learning power limitation and tamper-proof protection. By monitoring power levels while the door is in use, the operator can identify any power anomalies and initiate the automatic cut-off function. Plus, the onboard dual-processor safety technology can ensure quick detection of obstacles, aborting the door’s closing function. For this function to work, an additional opto sensor must be fitted alongside the safety power limiter. 

As for security, multi-digit rolling codes help prevent thieves from overriding and opening your garage doors while you’re not around. Plus, each remote control is protected by either 64-bit or AES 128-bit encryption for maximum protection.
