A triple locking mechanism or three-point lock is comprised of a single lock mechanism. This mechanism features dual-action deadbolts. As the key is turned, all three deadbolts are deployed, meaning there is no need to reach up or bend down to active the deadbolts separately.  

The addition of hinge locks means that side doors cannot be levered open (the doors open outwards, so cannot be forced inwards either). Hinge locks also prevent the doors from being lifted off the hinges, so the doors cannot be removed easily. The effort required to do so would easily draw unwanted attention, deterring thieves from trying.
